Spread LOVE!

Every now and then a certain song gets stuck in my head for days and days on end. This time it’s this mayor feel good liquid drum & bass track from Makoto: Spread Love!

Nanja’s first single on Spotify

It finally happened! Nanja’s first single on Spotify!

After writing, singing, playing the piano, recording and editing the track by herself, and with a little help from her dad with the mastering part, it is finally finished.

We had to sign up with BUMA and Distrokid. We had to do a lot of new and adventurous stuff just to find out how on earth do you get your track to Spotify? But as proud as a dad can be, she did it! With a bunch of her friends she had a release party at the 19th of November. Which also featured the videoclip, but that will be a new post!

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57″

I have always been a sucker for screen real estate but this fucking blows it! It started of as a joke with the guys from the hardware department at the office, but it soon turned out that if I really wanted it, I could have it. It did mean I had to get used to ‘curved’ and part from my dual LG 34UM95 setup. But I just couldn’t resist!

The most monstrous monitor one could buy at the moment. 57″ wide, a woooooping resolutaion of 7680×2160. It’s like two 4K UHD screens glued together and it is awesome!

Two is better than one!

Two LG 34UM95 Monitors at my disposal! Great setup! Two times 3440×1440 resulting in a mindblowing 6880×1440 working area. I once had a student walking into my office shouting, “WOW: TWO ULTRAWIDES???”

From the old box

Finally found this track back: Sabres of Paradise – Wilmot

A real old time favorite of me….

While Sabres of Paradise was active for a few years, its members split up to form Two Lone Sordsman and The Aloof…

How funny that just a couple of days later I was glamping at ‘t Buitenland where Menno, the guy running the site, during cleaning, had this dub-style playlist on his JBL bluetooth speakers. As it turned out it was a public spotify playlist and I listened the list for a couple of time before I started to delve into the works of the artists on the list. Which made me discover who Shantel was.

On of his Top5 songs on spotify turned out to be Bucovina, which is, well, basically the exact same song!
